Cultural Study Tour: Experience Germany Differently!

Experience three of Germany’s historic cities with professional guidance and a personalized itinerary: Berlin, Hamburg, and Lübeck. Click here for more details about the preparatory class.

We are offering these tours by request. In Dr. Gerlind’s capacity as the lead German guide and JB as co-tour guide, we offer our experienced travel guidance–meetings with local expert speakers and considering your wish list for sights to see. There’s free time built in, and all group activities are optional, except for the booked travel and speakers’ arrangements in each city. You can expect to join a small group of fellow travelers (8-10 participants) with compatible interests.

We plan to spend the first week in Berlin, and the second week in the lesser-known gem Hamburg (Dr. Gerlind’s hometown), including a day trip to Hansestadt Lübeck, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, close to the Baltic Sea. As participants can attest, previous trips were educational, personal, fun, and unforgettable.

Trip costs include facilitation, accommodation, breakfasts, and local transportation. Speaker honoraria, event, and museum admission fees are subject to group decisions. Airfare is not included and you can book any airline you wish.

Six once-a-month preparation classes will precede tours. This prerequisite course will significantly enhance your travel experience. See our class page for more details.

Thanks!
Marion, JB, Just want to say thanks so much to you both for putting together such an excellent trip to Berlin and Hamburg. We had a incredible time —we’ll remember this trip for years to come. It was a perfect way to celebrate our 25th year anniversary! Thanks to your diligence and excellent management of all the details, the trip went so smoothly for us all and everyone seemed to be having a fantastic time. I enjoyed the individual group members and the group dynamic that ended up working so well.
The speeches and guided tours/exhibits were all enlightening and thought-provoking. And especially, it was great to have so much time with you both. …At any rate, once again, thanks for all of your tireless work on this trip. I hope you both were able to enjoy it as much as we all did.
Take care, - Peter
